We continue our interview series this month and turn the spotlight on our sales rep, David Herrera. David has been with The Forklift Pro almost 3 years. He is a valuable asset to the company and assists us in national and international sales. His area covers Latin America, Canada, Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon, Washington, and Maine.
What is your work background and what led you to work at The Forklift Pro?
My background is in sales and in international markets. This field provides me many opportunities to use my strengths with people and foreign language.
After talking with Bill the first time, I saw the vast opportunity working with The Forklift Pro would offer. This is a business where I am able to use my skills and strengths to not only grow myself but to grow the company.
How do you help solve customers’ problems?
The key for me is to keep my customer happy. I do this by paying attention to what they have to say. I am able to bring my customers simple solutions that help solve their problems. I am always honest and upfront with my customers and never offer solutions that we cannot fulfill.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy meeting people. I meet all types of people from all over the United States and other parts of the world. I take satisfaction in helping customers find the right equipment and watching the growth of their business.
If you were to summarize The Forklift Pro business, what would you say?
I would sum up The Forklift Pro business as a great asset for the industry.
What do you like to do outside of work? Any hobbies?
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family.
What’s your top tip for people working in this industry in a similar role?
I would remind people to always be honest. Maintain a positive attitude in any circumstance, and you will see business grow.
