Learn more about the leader steering our company towards a bright future in this Q&A.

What is your work background and what led you to take ownership at The Forklift Pro?

I have been truly fortunate in my career. I had the opportunity over the first 20yrs to work in the marketing/business development space for several of the top industrial and construction equipment manufacturers in the world. Those varying experiences helped shape what and who I wanted to be.

I was drawn to the idea of being an entrepreneur early on. However, it was not until 2015 whenever I had the opportunity to form a custom cabinetry and millwork partnership that I took the opportunity to test my ambition. That experience led me to realize that I could make it as an entrepreneur, and I was determined to strike out on my own. After considering several opportunities in varying industries, I felt like The Forklift Pro was in a space that I understood and that gave me a good chance for success.

How do you help solve customers’ problems (or what do you do that contributes to solving client problems)?

I try to live by a couple simple rules: 1) Do what you say, when you say it. 2) Treat others as you would like to be treated. If I can personally deliver on that promise every day and try to help the team at The Forklift Pro operate with those principals in mind, we will be successful because the internal team, our vendor partners, and our customers will know that we have their back.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Seeing what our team is capable of when they believe in what the company is doing and what we stand for.

If you were to summarize The Forklift Pro business in 5 words, you would say:

One team. One goal. Always.

What do you like to do outside of work? Any hobbies?

Beth and I have two daughters. We live near Lake Norman, so we spend a good bit of time on the boat or around the lake in warm months. I enjoy watching college football in the fall. We all enjoy snow skiing in the winter.

What’s your top tip for people working in this industry in a similar role?

Whether you are in the material handling industry or currently in a leadership position, my advice is to never settle. Continue to learn. Challenge yourself.

How long have you been working with The Forklift Pro:

I bought The Forklift Pro in October 2021. My plan is for this to be the last stop in my career, so I intend to make it a good one.
